    really!?!?!?

woah...i wish you lived near me...you would love my deer gravy! It is all made from scratch and so yummy.

I make it to go over mashed potatoes or whatever...or like S.O.S.

I also like to make squirrel gravy...but not too often. I hate picking the meat off those little bones. Same goes for rabbit.

Sounds yummy! I am thinking that you'd get the juices from the meat cooking, maybe use some Gravy Master and flour?
I tried making beef gravy and failed miserably! I put way too much flour in.. it literally formed a paste..

Re: I am in heaven as i was given some deer meat

I was sitting around thinking about all this venison talk and decided to see if I could make up my own recipe using ground venison. I dont know how well this will go over with everyone else, but it was a hit here at my household except for the significant other who refused to eat it due to it being bambi instead of betsy (cow). But here is what I came up with, hope whoever tries it enjoys it.

Stuffed Green Pepper Soup with Ground Venison

    2lbs - Ground Venison
    1 - 16oz can Tomato Soup
    1 - 14 1/2 can Italian Diced Tomatoes
2 - Cups diced Green Pepper
    1 - Cup diced Onion
1 - Package of Onion Soup Mix
    2 - tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/8 to 1/4 cup - Brown Sugar (depending on sweetness desired)
    2 - tsp Salt
    1 - tsp Black Pepper
    1/2 - tsp Oregano
    1/2 - tsp Italian Seasoning
    48oz - water
    2 - tsp Olive Oil
    1 - Jalapeno diced (Optional)
    2 - Cups cooked rice

    Directions:

Brown venison in 2 tsp olive oil (drain)
Add remaining ingredients, except rice. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for approximately 30 minutes or until peppers are tender. Add rice and cook for an additional 10 minutes, serve and enjoy!

The daughter said the only way it could have been better is if I would have made grilled cheese sandwiches with it.
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is....

....Tattooed people don't care if you're not tattooed.
