What enclosures do you have on order? Im going crazy waiting how about you? Lol
:rolleye2::snake2: Ive had a T12 w/Sliding Glass Doors & LED lights on order for about 7 weeks now. At the time I ordered Ali told me it would be around 14 weeks. Im sure the Hollidays had them BOOMING. I figured time would fly but I forgot it was the first week of January & I don't do much in the winter except plow a lil snow as Im a Blacktop Paving contractor in NY.
So with the lack of a good amount of snow and the time off Im crawling the walls waiting for the enclosure. Anyways today I decided to call and ask Ali if I add 1 more enclosure to my order if she can put it with my original order date.. She said no problem. Ive never dealt with a better business I gotta say. They are strait up good, honest business people and Its a shame that its so rare these days.. Now Monday I'll call Bob and grab another Pro Panel P-12 88watt... This way I'll be all set for that 2017 I'm scoping for. :snake:
So what enclosures do you have on order, what options & how long will you be climbing the walls like me? Hahahahaha.
-
I've got a T-25 and an A-25 that's 4 weeks overdue. I reckon it will get here when it gets here.
The best part is that I already paid for them! :)
-
I've got 2 T8s due at the end of this month and another T8 due end of next month. All are glass sliding doors, locks, shelves, lights and flexwatt.

Sauzo Ali told me today as long as a Order hasnt been pulled yet (there not making it) she will add anything we want to our order. You should be able to get all the T8's at the same shipping time if you wanted.
(Whats going in these?)

Oh I know. I've had Ali bundle T10s for me on different dates. I just haven't paid for the 3rd one yet and don't like to pre order stuff. I hate owing people so I don't actually have stuff pulled until I have the cash in hand. The first one is Dottie, second one is for Rango and the 3rd one is for Luna. I'll order a 4th one in the summer time to get ready for the Pucallpa. Then when/if I need to upgrade, I'll order T25s as needed. We'll see how the T8s work out. The T10s are great but honestly, my boas don't really move around much unless they are hungry lol. Only Caesar really uses the shelf a lot and even for him, if he's not hungry, he usually pretty happy to sit curled up behind a hide just looking out the front.
This also gives me an excuse to try and add more snakes later hahaha. "But I got these extra T8s laying around!! I need something in them!!" :D

Oh man, up here I could probably sell mine within a couple days. I've seen a few really rough looking boaphiles sell for $200 and sell within a day or 2. I tend to keep my cages in pristine shape and avoid drilling holes or modifying them as much as possible. Heck my 4 year old Pro-Line still looks new except for the sag in the cage but that's the cages design as the only things I've ever put on top of it were the Herpstat.

Wow 4 weeks past due?? I was bugging Ali after a week past due on my T10s haha. She told me that their order of PVC sheets was messed up so they had to get a new order which set them back a decent amount. I sure hope the T8s aren't late as the main reason I ordered them was the quick ship. Ali told me they would ship in 3-4 weeks which I then gave grumbled to her about "quick ship" in a joking way. She said, hey its quicker than the 13 weeks for your T10s. You have a point lol.
I'm not patient of a person so I ordered the T8s so I could have a nice stack of them next to my T10s. That way when I do need to order T25s, the wait will be bearable lol. Then I can have a stack of 4 T25s, 4 T8s and 3 T10s. It'll be like a snake monument!!!! :D

Try to find local groups in your state to sell on. I've had no issues selling my old enclosures. I generally sell mine for the same price I paid for it, used or not. It's still a better option than somebody ordering directly, waiting, then having to assemble.
I also found a guy in GA that builds PVC enclosures, so with AP being so backed up, I decided to go this route. I currently have two t3's but the specialty version with a basking shelf. However, I may sell the one with the sliding glass and get a 4 foot one built instead, but that's down the road when the rat snake outgrows it.
Aside I spent $935 for these cages:
17w x 18d x 22h w/ 1 led puck light, 28w heat panel & lockable swing door.
18w x 18d x 22h w/ 1 led puck light, 28w heat panel & lockable swing door.
36w x 18d x 18t w/ 2 led puck lights, 28w heat panel, t8 18" fixture w/ dual lockable swing doors
46w x 24d x 20t w/ 2 led puck lights, 40w heat panel, t8 18" fixture w/ lockable sliding glass
That's everything included, assembled, fixtures and all. The led puck lights will be remote controlled. The first two enclosures is for my squam and my venustus get here, then the baby squams I have coming, one will likely go in the exo terra that the current one is in. The 36w is for my Rhino Viper, and the 46w will be for my Naja.
I love AP, but the lead time is a bit more than I want to wait, so that's the only reason I went that route. I have one enclosure from PVCcages, but I can honestly say I'm not a fan, several small things I've noticed that I don't really like. One is that AP screws go in recessed so they don't stick out at all, you can up the torque and do this for PVC but then it doesn't look right to me. There are a few other things, but nothing major.

What ones are you trying to get rid of ?

Re: What enclosures do you have on order? Im going crazy waiting how about you? Lol
On 12/20/2016 I ordered 3 T10's from AP with an expected delivery of 10-12 weeks. No problem as it gives me time to work the OT.
Accessories: Sliding glass with locks, shelves, 10mm channel for LED lights in all of them; 2 with dividers and they will have 40W Pro Products RHPs and the 1 without a divider will have the larger 80 or 88W Pro Products RHP (whatever Bob thought was best as I keep my house around 60 degrees pretty much all year), will be empty until one of my collection grows large enough to occupy it without stressing it out.
My thought process is the boas will share a divided T10 and about the same time be ready for the move to a full T10 comfortably. The ball python will have her own divided T10 until she's ready to expand as well.
I wanted to make the investment now and think long term when the snakes are full grown instead of buying small now and having to replace later.
Looking at my space restriction (unless I go crazy and convert a portion of my basement which would be very easy to do and so tempting) I could fit a 4th T10 but I want to wait and see. I literally just got my ball in November 2016 and this is all new and VERY exciting for me.
***EDIT*** I agree, Ali is an AMAZING customer service rep for their company. She's AWESOME!!! Bob at Pro Products is great as well.
I have you members for suggesting these vendors and making this as enjoyable for me as it has been and will continue to be. For that I THANK YOU!!!

Nothing id suggest using this day and age for reptiles..Im replacing everthing ive had over the years with AP enclosures so I have 2 large tanks still (30G & 40gal 48" long) & a 125 gal 72"'long) and a 8'L4'Hx2'D wooden/Glass enclosure with a PVC inside that my Burm has been in for 10 years... Cant ship any of these and the Travel & Gas ain't worth it unless your within a 1hr, also I cant sell 2 of them as Fish Tanks because there customized with framed Lids for RHP's and Drilled for probe wires ect....
Im keeping one for quarantine and evertually someone will take the others.

waiting is the worst however AP cages are worth it. For a niche market company they do a great job.
-
I have a no name ;), special order from AP, it's a Gecko Condo 32 wide x 16 deep x 24 high that contains 2 cages each being 16 X 16 X 24.
One of the reason I like AP is that I can get custom built cages or racks.

Thats sounds cool, are you going to bolt them together and cut a panel? Make sure to post a pic here after you get it setup.

Well it's not a big snake enclosure, but the next thing I'm getting as soon as I hatch out my first baby snakes will be an ARS-1075 hatchling rack!

I ordered a T10 on Friday, so got a while to wait. Current plan is to put my husband's red-tailed boa in it, and maybe move my woma or blood python into the boa's V332 (36" x 28" x 18"), or else leave the boa in his V332 and move the woma or blood into the T10.

I just made 2 of these for the Balls enclosures. Both of them are big climbers so they should enjoy. I bought Shower Curtain Pole holders to hold the PVC pipes and drilled holes to siliconed the leaves in.

Re: What enclosures do you have on order? Im going crazy waiting how about you? Lol
Got the call from Ali today!!!! My T10's ship on Mon or Tue - guess I need to build that base over the weekend. I bought a nice wire rack to put them on but since decided to build a base and just stack them up. I figure doing that I can utilize the heat that rises to help keep enclosures warm.
-
Omg, I'm also planning on ordering a T12 with nearly the same specs! Sliding glass doors, lights, flexwatt, locks and a (temporary)divider.
Please please let me know how you like it and take pictures!
If you don't mind me asking, what was your order process for this? I'm also thinking of getting a Pro Panel from Bob and heard you can have your rhp drop shipped to AP and they install it for you? Who did you contact first? AP for your cage or Bob for your rhp?

I will take pictures once they are assembled and ready to go - I've very excited about this LOL
My order process? I just called Animal Plastics and initially ordered T8's but changed to T10's (thanks Sauzo for the recommendation) a couple weeks later - Ali is awesome to talk to and bounce ideas off. I've got 2 T10's; shelf, divider, sliding glass, locks, 10mm channel routed for LED's I bought on Amazon, and Pro Products (Bob is also great to talk with) RHP's drop shipped to AP for installation and 1 T10 with everything but the divider for a total of 3 T10's and most likely a 4th to top it out before they end the sale. LOL
Then LOTS of patience...supporting a small business in the US is worth it for the quality they produce IMHO. I haven't heard 1 bad thing about these enclosures other than ship times. I think we've all gotten so used to Amazon prime that we forget it used to take weeks to get stuff before (showing my age LOL).

Re: What enclosures do you have on order? Im going crazy waiting how about you? Lol
Just put in my order for a customized T25 with animal Plastics. Sliding glass doors, locks, pro-heat RHP installed, channels cut for my own LEDs, basking shelf, and I'm having them build up the bottom door track to eliminate the gap between the litter dam and the right door. Also getting parts and doors to make the same door track modifications to one of my current T8s. I'm guessing they'll be ready in like late June-early July? We'll see. Also finally pulled the trigger on another herpstat 2 redline. Should have done it earlier in march when the were running they're sale...

For the person who wanted pics of T10s and T8s. Here is my 3 T10s on the left with sliding glass doors, shelves, LEDs from AP, locks and flexwatt. The stack on the right are T8s with the same set up. Also using AP stands for both stacks. Have 2 Herpstat 2 and 2 Herpstat 1 on top. Will be replacing those with a Herpstat 6 hopefully this Monday :)

Nice. I'll be needing a couple of those probably towards the end of the year too lol. So wait, how are they doing a track modification? Are you having them shorten the left glass door and whole track? So basically you are going to have a double wide litter dam that is going to end flush with the right door track? With that mods and how I've heard they are backed up, i'd be surprised if it was done before 3.5-4 months. I need to order another T8 for Luna but I'm just waiting until the rush is over and getting other stuff I need like the Herpstat 6 and chest freezer lol.

Yeah, basically they're just going to raise the whole bottom track for the doors so that it's flush with the top of the litter dam. Then there's no gaps for pushing little retics to smash their faces in and no more scrapes on the bottom jaw that Phyllis and Caesar have done in the past. In wouldn't be surprised if it takes a bit longer but whatever. Phyllis is going to be living in that T25 for the rest of her life so she can wait another few months haha

I'm waiting on this to arrive. So ready to get rid of the glass just takes up too much space.
-
Waiting on an AP T3 that I ordered on 20 March. Email said 10-12 weeks so I'm still in for a wait.
-
I ordered my two racks 2/22. The economy 6/12 tub juvenile rack was a quick ship item, so I got it in last week. The 3 tub adult rack should be another month or two.

Re: What enclosures do you have on order? Im going crazy waiting how about you? Lol
Bus tubs and heat tape to move our BPs to tubs should be waiting for me at home (give them privacy and the less-shy snakes the T8s). Hopefully tomorrow morning we can get to Menard's for some other supplies, and put things together on Sunday. We're putting the tubs on an existing piece of shelving, and to try to maximize space I came up with an idea that my husband may regret agreeing to construct. [emoji846] I'll take pictures and probably create a thread...

My enclosure for my GTP arrived broken and on its side on Monday, so now I'm waiting on the seller to make another one for me.... I actually would prefer a refund, but he insisted on making me a new one. So fedex came and picked up the broken cage the next day.
I waited month and a half for it, when it was originally supposed to be 2 weeks, because the seller kept delaying finishing my cage in the first place. (the one that was finally finished and arrived broken)
He now said he will be making me a new one by the end of this weekend, but who knows if that will actually happen.
My lesson learned: buying direct from pvccages and putting it together yourself is 100% TOTALLY worthwhile, instead of trying to save a few bucks on a custom cage from a random cage maker. This has been WAY more trouble than it is worth, and I'm still paying $325 for it without a single dollar of refund.
I originally even had a juvie male planned out with a breeder, but the delays on the cage made me miss out on it. Seriously, this has been ridiculous lmao.

Dang, you just aren't having luck with cages are you lol. First the 2 ton melamine cage and now this fiasco. This is why I just deal with AP. I had FedEx crack a couple tops on my cages and when I called Ali, she didn't even need to see pics, she just sent me new tops with lights installed in them. The cracks were just superficial right on the back end so nothing that impaired the cage quality. I was more just letting Ali know but she sent me new tops anyways. Awesome customer service.

Re: What enclosures do you have on order? Im going crazy waiting how about you? Lol
T10's arrived Friday and Saturday - assembled bottom, front, and sides on all 3 yesterday and allowing the sealant to dry a couple 2 - 3 days. I'm quite impressed with the engineering and fabrication of these enclosures. They seem to be well built for being light weight and the attention to detail is nice.
Unfortunately, 1 of the tops was damaged by FedEx - corner of the box was ripped open and the top corner was broken (of course it's the top with 2 RHP's). I've got a message in to Ali and we'll see what happens. I do hope FedEx is help responsible and AP doesn't have to absorb the cost.
I've also got the majority of my stand built as I'm just waiting for the casters to arrive. Sauzo, I decided to go with the 1" black pipe and 2" x 6" - I'm sure it'll hold without incident after a little testing I did while building it, it's pretty stout.
I'll post pictures when everything is up and installed.

They are pretty awesome aren't they!?
And yeah 2 out of 3 of my tops for my T10s had a small crack on the top at the back corner where the light comes out. It was superficial and didn't affect the top at all especially since I stack the cages. I called and just let Ali know and she sent me 2 new tops with the lights installed. I didn't even ask for them. Awesome customer service. Funny though, the 3 T8s tops were all fine. I'm just praying the T25 tops get the same delivery guy and not the idiot who probably dropped my T10 boxes lol.
The stand? You mean that crazy 4 legged tube thing? Man, you got brass kahunas to chance that lol.
And yeah, lets see some pics :)

Seriously, I keep giving the small hobby cage makers the benefit of the doubt (especially since they apparently have good reviews??), but I keep getting the short end lmao. And also that 4 level rack from the local rack maker guy too, which he re-made as well. :I
It sounds totally worth it to buy from AP or pvccages or any of the big cage/rack sellers. I'm so sad LOL, but I have learned never to buy from small business/hobby makers again. It's just not worth the potential huge amount of trouble.
The melamine thing is totally my fault for not researching materials beforehand though hahah

Yeah - really impressive.
Same place mine is cracked - maybe I'll just put it in the middle since I'm stacking as well...never thought about that. Thanks.
Yes - it's quite stout actually (the stand, not my kahunas LOL, although it's not the first time I've been told that) - 19" tall x 26" deep x 48" wide.
Pictures will be posted, I'm really excited to get this done.

Well AP is a 'small' guy too. I believe they are family and a couple friends. They only have 1 cutting machine which is the reason it takes so long along with all the orders. Last 2 times I've talked to Ali, she was at her house taking care of her kid so I'm guessing the business end is run out of their house. They just do a very good job and make sure to add in those little touches like rounding/finishing the edges/corners and stuff like that. Really well made cages at a good price. Cant really beat it as that is pretty much what I want. They also offer so many options along with customization.
I honestly don't think there is any really 'mass produced' caging. I mean Boaphile is a guy or 2, AP is family and few friends, Constrictors NW is just Ed Lilly and I don't know about PVCCages but I would imagine they are probably a guy or a couple. But I get what you mean by small time, as in like you said, a hobby builder.
And btw how is the remake of the cage coming?

Oh, I didn't realize they're just a family for how popular they are! That just goes to show how good cages and customer service and consistent time frames make a great rep. Yeah PVC cages is also one guy and his wife, I believe. I guess I wrote "big" sellers like popular ones, and hobby sellers the unknown ones with not much rep yet LOL.
Haha welp, the dude didn't message me yet... so I'm ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "Done by this weekend" my butt. I'm honestly this close |-| to posting about him on the BOI and all over the reptile sales groups if he keeps delaying the re-make like he did for the first cage. He's going to be in for it... He also firmly refused a refund when I asked for it, back when he kept delaying my cage by 3 weeks. I also asked him for a refund THIS time around, and he insisted he re-make the cage (which I honestly don't want to deal with anymore).
He keeps talking the good guy talk and makes himself seem like a very reputable nice guy, but his work ethic and customer service is just not there. Like I'm sure he really is a nice dude, but a nice dude could get bad grades... lol.

Sounds like a giant fiasco that is ending with a lot of promises and little actual action. Well, hope it works out but it sounds like its like pulling teeth.

Re: What enclosures do you have on order? Im going crazy waiting how about you? Lol
The T10 arrived a couple weeks ago, finally got it assembled yesterday. With moving the BPs to a rack, the woma and blood got moved up to half-T8s, so the boa is going into the T10.
Here it is, mostly assembled, sealant applied, and a perching bar made from 3/4" (nominal) PVC:

It had more flex than we were comfortable with, but we didn't have any more tees to splice in for a center support. But we did have plenty of 1/2" (nominal) PVC, and fittings. So we came up with a center support using a full cross:

Much better for stiffness. And the artificial vine adds to the appearance and cover for lurking:

Still need to put the heat tape on the bottom, and a light on the top panel, and install the top panel, but here's a shot in one of the doors:
