    Snake addiction
I am curious if anybody actually has only one snake? And has for lets say at least a year had only one snake. They are so much fun, I can't imagine only having one. Of course, several years ago I couldn't have imagined having 7, :D

I have 0. Does that count for anything? :) First time in 15 years that I haven't had a snake. But, for those 15 years the majority of the time I had just one. Living in an apt. complex and moving to a house in August. Hopefully I'll go from 0 to 4. :) I'll finally have the money/time/space to start a small breeding project.

I had my Hog Isle for about 3 months then I added a Dum but she died and I still have no idea why.... Then I added a couple pastels and a couple months later I added pretty much 8 more snakes in the same month. Now I have 50% rack space still available and I am getting the itch.... I gotta get my fix soon or I am gonna get violent.... :)

I am getting a Baby BP in a month. My wife is not happy about it. He has absolutely forbid me from getting more than one (although she had forbid me from getting any until I just got one anyway). I went from 1 Leopard Gecko to 4 fairly quickly, so it would not surprise me if I end up with atleast one more BP. There are just way too many cool morphs that are fairly affordable.

#1 will be a maile Pastel
#2 maybe a Pinstripe or Spider. Who knows.

I was going to sit pretty with one snake for a while, but a snake came up that I just couldn't pass up. My dream snake, with a dream price, from a friend of mine. Gorgeous little Pied hatchling. Been wanting one for over a decade now. So, even though I agreed with my boyfriend 'No more snakes until we get a bigger place'... I had to break that for this exception.

But, I will only have two snakes for the forseeable future :P (This is not to say my list doesn't have a couple more on it at least... Clown BP... Butter or Mojave.... Possibly a Milk snake)

Haha, I started out with two because I knew better ;) Told myself that I wouldn't get any more BPs till I produced from that pair, but I caved and got myself a fire female as well. She came with a free normal male that I gave to my boyfriend, and now we also have a female pied black pine snake. I'm this -> <- close to buying a boa, but there's also the blue tongue skinks, a red tegu, all the tarantulas I want to pick up.... And all 500 or so BPs I see every day that I'd take in a heartbeat. Addicted and there ain't no cure :D

I only have one! But it's been less than a month.

Back story: I wanted a ball python for my 16th birthday. I had brought it up a couple of times over 3-4 months before my birthdate. Mom said no originally along with a horrified face. The other times I brought it up she didn't really give a response besides a neutral question here and there. So both of my parents and I were sitting on the couch watching TV two days before my birthday and I was like, "So can I have a snake or not?" She sighed and wanted to know if I wanted to go out that night or another day for the supplies. (Also, explaining that snakes are routinely shipped was very amusing.)

I managed to luck out, a couple of weeks before my birthday, because she talked to a co-worker who owns several balls, and the coworker assured her. (I didn't find that out until after I had everything set up.)

She also said she wouldn't get near it and that all maintenance was up to me. Her story changed when she got excited that I was holding my bp and sat next to me. The snake was coiled up when she came over. After a little bit, the snake uncoiled herself and mom decided "that's enough snake for me."

I have a perpetually lengthening list of snakes that I would like. I will definitely be needing a Pied BP (always wanted one), a BEL, a Pin, a Mojo and a Lesser (I wanted to make my own BEL), and maybe a Bumblebee...and then I will also need a Suriname Boa, a Sunglow, a Hypo Jungle, a Hog Island...and maybe a Caye Caulker. ;) These are the necessities.

I started with one...then I couldn't stop. I will always want another snake. :P But my current push is for a puppy. I will get more BPs once I've accomplished that. They are much easier and cheaper to house than boas. But I will definitely need more boas...I'd venture to say I want them more...:O But I love me some BPs and I need at least a few nice paint jobs around the house. ;)

I thought I would be ok with one boa. It's probably a good thing I really don't have room for another right now, because I like that little guy so much I definately want another. Also have 4 more bp morphs I want. With the exception of an albino, I hope to make my own.

I actually only had one snake for about four years, and then the number just recently shot up to five and is going to keep increasing from there. ;)

Right now I only have one snake, my male normal. I had to unfortunately part with the other three snakes I had due to personal reasons. I will NEVER part with my favorite boy though. I have had him for almost 2 years and he is part of my family.

We got my son a snake (female Royal) for his B-day the end of May. Both my wife and I were dead set against it at first. The I gave in and she said we'd "try it". It's gone well, and we spent quite a bit of $ on setting the tank up the right way. The thermostat cost ended up eclipsing the snake, the tank, and some of the accessories.

The plan is to stick with one. However, as has been stated here the "addiction" grabs you. I suddenly find myself wanting a Dumerils boa. If that angle doesn't work, I'm trying to get my younger daughter to think about a Royal. My wife will not go for me getting a snake, but if the kiddies want one, maybe??

Really if I didn't need to set up another tank, it would be easy price wise.

    Stay tuned!
