A man and the sheriff walk into the jail to indentify a prisoner. The man looks into the cell and looks at the prisoner. He then looks at the sheriff and says, "Brothers and sisters I have none, but this man's father is my father's son." What relationship are the two men? (the prinsoner and the man outside the jail cell talking to the sheriff)

I think i figured this one out but i cant explain it well. You ask what the other robot will say but do the opposite?

I think you guys got the gist of it.
You ask either of the robots "What would the other robot say if I asked it which is the door to freedom?"
If you ask it this question, you will get the same answer from either robot. If you asked the liar robot this question, because the truth robot tells the truth, he would lie and tell you the wrong door. The truth robot will tell you what the liar robot would say, which is also the wrong door.
So if you asked either robot that question, they would both point to the door to certain death.

My fathers son---that is him especially since hes an only child as indicated above. So we use word association:
Brothers and sisters I have none (I am an only child) but this man's father (the prisoners dad) is my father's son (me).

Lengthy but difficult and interesting...
A certain king in a certain country portioned out an amount of gold to his goldsmith who was instructed to make goblets. 100 total. The goldsmith portioned the gold equally to each of his ten apprentices with the instructions they were to make ten goblets each. Each goblet was to be identical in every respect including the amount of material used.
The plot: The king discovered one apprentice was shorting his goblets by one ounce of gold each, and pocketing the stolen gold himself. It so infuriated him that he set his goldsmith before him and gave him a set of scales with the instruction that he was to discover the culprit. However because the goldsmith had hired such a man, as punishment, he was only allowed to use the scale once. Get it wrong and he would loose his life. Get it right and he would be forgiven. I have told you all you need to know. How did the goldsmith discover the thief?

Here's one I was actually asked in a job interview, because I couldn't get it right I will never forget the answer. :P
You are in a room with 3 light switches. In the room next to it there are three light bulbs. You can open the connecting door only once. How do you determine which light switch goes to which light bulb?

You open the door and leave it open or hold it open. And look at which lights go on when you flip each switch

Well if that isnt the answer then you turn on 1 light but dont use the door. Then turn it off. Then turn on a 2nd light and go into the room. The light that is warm was the 1st one and the 2nd one is on and the third one is cold. I dont think thats the answer though bc that wouldnt work if you cant reach the lights or if theyre fluorescent which dont make alot of heat. I think my 1st one was right... Just leave the door open.

Pour 3 gallons into the empty 5 gallon jug. Do this again but only 2 gallons will fit. Now empty the 5 gallon and put the leftover 1 gallon in it. Then refill the 3 gallon again and pour all of it into the 5 gallon jug. Leaving you with 4 gallons in the 5 gallon jug. I love playing Simon Says! lol

I thought you were only allowed to use the scale once? How does this work? Do you mean you take one goblet from each apprentice and place it on the scale one at a time and watch as the ounces raise by 100. Then when you find the one goblet that only raises 90 ounces you know who the culprit is? I hate riddles I don't know why I bother trying to understand -_-

This is a psychological test riddle that I had to answer in order to get a job working security at a national laboratory. We were told there is technically only one correct answer but if you get it right, you have psychopathic/serial killer tendencies and those people would not be hired. Luckily I didn't get it right!
~While attending her own mothers funeral, a woman met a man she had never seen before. She thought he was amazing in every way and they hit it off immediately but they never got each others phone numbers and the woman couldn't find him afterwards..
Not long after that she killed her own sister..
What was her motive?

Each goblet made by the apprentice who is stealing is one ounce off and there are ten apprentices. So if you pick one goblet from the first, two from the second, etc... until you get to number ten where you select all ten of his. Then place the 55 selected goblets on the scale at one time. You know how much they all should weigh. By picking a different number from each apprentice the amount of gold that is missing will determine who is the thief. If one ounce it is number one, two ounces for number two etc...:D Hope this helps
