could we see a picture of the sensor/thermostat? i'm not sure why the sensor would be useless. if the thermostat is for the lamp/s, you should just let it dangle like an inch above the floor of the enclosure.

it s an hygrostate at the same time but I just wanted it to controle the heat mat mostly...

the thermostat is for the UTH? then the sensor gets sandwiched between the UTH and the outside bottom of the enclosure. the thermostat sensor/probe should not go inside the enclosure because it can get pushed around, get wet or defecated on, or get ruined and/or cause a temperature spike.
