Question about Sun!!
I know about taken care of the balls, that the light UV, is not so necessary, because they are of night habits, but, I have been reading, about of the light of the Sun, on which this one is charitable for the pitons, since it, improves his immune system, with baths of the Sun of 30 min, in another forum comment on it and they said to me that this could to cause the death to the phyton, I do not believe that so tragic, since to kill her, you that you think, about this. somebody do this??

I'm not sure exactly what you said. Did you ask a question, or make a statement?

Re: Question about Sun!!
Never heard it could kill them before.......I take a few of my pets out to the local park a few time in the summer to do a show for the children and the sun doesn't hurt them at all.
I mean after all.....they are from Africa lol

Re: Question about Sun!!
Lack of Vitamin D from the sun will not kill your ball python. While it is necessary for some reptiles to surive, ball pythons get all their required nutrients and most of their water from the rodents they feed on. I keep my pythons in my basement in a dark corner with very little light and they are all healthy as can be for the last 4 years I've had them. The only application that a light cycle could possibly have on your ball pythons would be to assist in inducing breeding behavior.
Edit: After reading your post again I think you might be asking if exposure to sun could cause death in a ball python. My answer would be that yes direct exposure to the sun for 30 minutes could cause a snake to die if that snake could not seek shelter in the shade and thermo regulate itself.

The balls are of night habits, but the information that I read they said that in spite of being controversial, was charitable.
My question is what think about giving them baths of the Sun? You recomend this. Or Is dangerous for the snake.

Re: Question about Sun!!
It is not a fact that sun light is beneficial to ball pythons, I don't believe there have been any scientific studies on this so anything you heard is probably speculation. However its very true that a snake can overheat and die very quickly if it cannot thermoregulate. I would be very careful with the way you take your snakes outside if you do so.

Re: Question about Sun!!
I think your language is not English. I will try to use your words to explain.
Baths of the sun are not charitable for ball pythons. Baths of the sun may be too hot for pythons. Pythons need heat but too much heat kills. Its best to not give baths of the sun.
A little sun is not bad. Too much sun is very bad.

Ah, ok. Got ya now.
Ball pythons live outside, in Africa. I'm pretty sure if regular intervals of sunlight killed them, we wouldn't have any left.
So, with that being said...let 'em roam!

True but it is the ability to thermo regulate that allows this to happen, if you left a bp out in the grass with no access to shade/cooler temps, in the sun, it would most likely die.

To add to what Spaniard said, since ball pythons are nocturnal, they are not likely to be out roaming around in the hot African sunshine. They may bask for short periods of time, but thats thermoregulation. They will return to the shade when they've warmed enough. If you are going to allow your ball python to roam in the sun, an absolute requirement would be to provide them with an escape from that sun/heat. Nobody has mentioned how the snake is going to be put in the sun, but if a tub or glass tank is stuck out there, chances are you'll have a dead snake fairly quickly.
