Well, If you are only getting one snake, I would just get a heat pad. They aren't much different in price than the flexwatt (after you figure in wiring). Flexwatt could also have hotspots if wired wrong. I think flexwatt is more economical if you have to heat a rack or need to heat a few tubs. for just one tub, you might as well get a heat pad. It will cover more surface area and you don't have to worry about wiring and all that jazz.
