Pine Furniture - Problem if treated?

most pine used for furnature if not all unless you buy it from some little Amish shop outside of Guelph area lol will be kiln dried so no worries, that and the fact that it will be sealed or treated because its a furniture peace. it should be fine. my tank is sitting beside a 100 yr old pine dresser and it appears to be just fine as well.

Funny you should mention... there's an Amish furniture shop in Mississauga

Do you think it will be okay even if I leave it untreated? I've seen the shelf in person, it's pretty dried out, and it's the oils from the wood that are harmful to the snakes, right?
