showcase cages
Hey all, first post, long time lurker I found an old post 1-1/2 years old talking about Showcase Cages, I know they ae a little $$ but does anyone have any thing good or bad to say about them? it's time for another home for my BP. I've looked at ll the familiar names, Showcase Cages seem to be, IMO, the best looking.
Thanks

Showcase cages are very nice display cages. I don't have experience with them just wanted to welcome you to the site.

Animal Plastics all the way!
Boaphiles are also good, but made of thinner plastic and only have one door. I also heard that sometimes you have to wait more than 2 months before receiving your cages.
I don't have experience with Reptile Basics, but I plan on buying one of their cages. They only come in a few sizes though...

Yeah, I kinda like the sliding doors on AP better than the swing doors from Boa, I might just flip a coin

Funny guy Are you basing this on the whole customer service/shipping time? The thing I like about Boa is No assembly, I can get everything preinstalled so theres no chance I'll screw something up. I'm thinking I want a RHP, I'm not thrilled about drilling into a new $200+ cage. I'd rather let someone else do it. I'm not saying I won't do it, but you'd have to help

Well first of all, I just like AP better because they have thicker plastic, thus better insulation.
Second, AP is VERY helpful and a lot faster than Jeff Ronne (Boaphile).
Third, installing the cage takes about 30 mins. It's not hard at all, and the cages are top notch.
Fourth, the RHPs Boaphile has are not the best out there... Pro-Products and RBI make better ones.
Fifth, you can get whatever you need shipped to AP and they'll install it free of charge.
And last, I never get it when people don't buy AP because they have to assemble it. It really doesn't take long, and it actually has some benefits, like taking it apart when you don't need it for a while and transportation.

I can't speak for others but as far as your last comment, I don't like paying over $200 and having to assemble it, that said a whole lot of other people have done it.
