Oh, yuck, sorry to hear that, haha. Um, well, it could be possible? I put her at just the very edge of the grass, right next to my cement walkway. My dog hangs out in our front and backyard a lot and doesn't get ticks or flees. Perhaps it's just our grass. Only time I've seen a tick was when my bro's went to a field place to play airsoft. It came back on their clothes, but was quickly disposed of.
