humidity is in the low 30%to 40% how can i raise it?

I'm surprised no one is addressing the size of the tank. I find it almost impossible to maintain temps and humidity in a tank larger than 20 gallons. How big is your snake?

I would have to agree with earlier stated comments:

1) Get a probed thermometer
2) Get rid of the lamps or at least one of them
3) Cover part of your lid with either a damp towel or some saran wrap
4) Change your substrate to something that will hold humidity better or just use papertowels and use the above mentioned things.

Also, what exact size is your tank and also the size of your snake? Where in the enclosure is the water bowl?? Moving the water bowl to the hot side could raise your humidity as well.

great info!! . . . the waterbowl to the hotside is a great idea too i forgot to mention that in my earlier post, but it does work really well

i also forgot to mention my humidity is usually around 50% all the time and i try to get it closer to 70% during a shed cycle 30%-40% isnt terrible but try and aim for 50% all of the things people have mention on here will work so pick one that you think is easiest for you and try it out!

Moving the water bowl to the hot side does increase humidity but I use it as a last resort. I'm not sure if BP's prefer cool water over hot, but I do!
