What types of paints, sealants did you use?
You may run into the problem of seriously harming the snakes you put in it due to off-gassing of the products used to finish the surface.

nah everything should be ok you gotta let everything set and harden and let it self ventilate before you putting any reptile in the cage. perforable when the smell of paint is gone wait another few days to intorduce you reptile to its new home. it should matter what type of paint you use as long at it is not toxic and has no LEAD
so people use melamine well thats made with phromaldahide sorry can spell but i tried

You should get a thermostat to keep them under control. Since it looks like you are going to have a lamp on each side, you will probably need two...or have a smaller wattage bulb on the cooler side. A thermostat will keep the lamps at a set temp. even if the room temp. fluctuates.
