the fact that the cards played it safe the whole game is a big reason they lost. they had 2 pass attempts for more than 15 yrds the whole game. its the super bowl there is no tomorrow you pull out all the stops and give it everything. the cards failed to do that

Turner is a big dude, more of a MJD build...Just look at what the Steelers did to them when LT was out. He didn't get anything on the ground or via the screen. This gave them the ability to pin their ears and rush the passer every down.
Everyone had a hard time running on the Steelers D tho....there have been only two rushers able to put up over 100 yards against the steelers in the past 62 games. ....with all respect, I dont think LT would have done much better than Darren. LT's rush avg this season was 3.1, where DS had 5.4 yards a carry.

That's a very valid point. I wasn't really thinking about that when I posted, it was just the only game I could think of DS being the feature back since he got in the L.

However, LT carried the ball 292 times compared to Sproles' 61, which is an obscene difference, about 20% of the carries that LT got. Of course the avg is gonna be lower.
