Sterlite Size?

As a rule of thumb....a boa really cant be in too big of an enclosure. In the bp world, we tend to say, if they fit in a 32qt comfortably, why bump them up to a 41qt, etc. In boas, I find that if you can provide the extra space, go for it. Keep in mind, everything is best in moderation. You dont want a baby boa in a huge tub. I say this for 2 reasons....first, they will be more likely to have feeding problems etc, although I doubt that will happen provided you get it from a good breeder. Second, it is going to be a bigger pain for you to clean, sterilize, etc.

As for a good starter size- our boas were about 5 months when we got them, and will be a year at the end of April. They have been in 15qt tubs since we got them, and will probably be bumped up around their birthdays.

If you are getting anything older than 3 months or so, I think you would be alright with getting anywhere from a 28-40ish qt without any size issues, and it gives you some play-time before you have to think about upgrading. The main reason we went small was to fit it all on to our "snake cart" (see my gallery if you want to see what I mean, where the two smaller tubs are below, we rotated them lengthwise and added similar tubs next to them, for a total of 5 on the whole cart). Once we bump them up, we are going to have to find a new place to keep their tubs.
