I am avg about 15 babies per mother.
300 / 15 = 20 litters a month is needed.
40 breeders alternating each month would be good IMO.
If you have the tools on hand I would build your own. Tons cheaper and its not to hard to do.
A few racks like this one except 5 levels high would work good, I use 8 levels on my racks, depends on what size rats your need. If you need small/medium/large then I would go up to 8 levels on each to store what extra you need.
