Stacey, go thaw a rat and see if you can get it to come out. Most big constrictors are always hungery from what I've read.

I would try the box thing first...just put it in a box laying on it's side, and clear out far enough to give the snake some room.

Edit: Heading out to do some shopping....keep us posted and let us know how it turns out.

My caution would be... are you willing to move a BCI in feed mode if that is what it turns out to be... or a blood python.

Alright, a rat is thawing as we speak!

Hey - this is the most "real" information that has been in this thread for a long time! If I'm gonna postwhore I might as well get something done too

That's a good point, but if the box is managable, you should be able to move the snake.

Do you have a king size pillow case handy?

So... no rat. The only snake I've ever handled is my ball python. I don't know anyone else around here that knows snakes and the maintenance guys will only bring the snake out dead (that was their plan before they got me) so bare with me!

    I do...

What if I put like a plastic storage box and then can put the top on it? Would that work?

Re: The last one to post WINS!

This seemed less complicated when I posted in the "last to post wins" thread instead of making a thread about it in the "real" forum...
