If you breed your het to a Norm and it is indeed a Norm, your chances are 0% to get an albino.

If you want to make an albino, I would suggest getting a female, raising her up, then when the time is right, get a het male or visual Albino male.

You will not get any albinos by breeding a het to a normal. The only thing you would get are normal-looking offspring that have a 50% chance of being het for albino.
You need to breed a het to at least another het (or an actual albino if you want to take that route) to even have a chance of producing albinos.

Re: if i get a het what are my chances

Heres basically a run down of how it works... Btw, it doesnt matter wether the het is male or female, all odds are the same...

100% Het Albino x Normal = (50%) 100% Het & (50%) Normal (all normals are considered 50% het albino until proven out)

100% Het Albino x 100% Het Albino = (25%) Albino (25%) Normal (50%) 100% Het Albino (all normals are considered 66% Het albino until proven out)

    100% Het Albino x Albino = (50%) Albino & (50%) 100% Het Albino

    Albino x Albino = (100%) Albino

If i made any mistakes, please feel free to correct me... Btw, I used a punnet square to figure this out, look up how to use one on google, they are very useful when it comes to genetics!

Get a male Het albino breed it to your normal female, hold back all the female from that pairing and breed them back to dad.

It will be a long process and will require space and funds (incubator cost, feeding cost of additional animals, racks cost, etc) and you might not produce an Albino on your first attempt either even after raising those offspring for about 2 years.

In other words you need to consider whether or not the time and the cost of additional animals is worth it to you or if would you be better of saving $250 for a pair of het albino or $600 for an albino.
