Re: Bear Grylls just killed a Boa!!

Sure, some of the things on MvW are setups, and he does get help. They probably should have been more upfront about that from the start. But just because a few of the things are setups (obviously done to make a more interesting/exciting show) people seem to discount the credit of Bear Grylls almost entirely.

This man was in the British SAS trained in a bunch of stuff including survival and being a survival instructor, he was one of the youngest people to climb Mt. Everest (this being after he broke his back in a parachuting accident). He circumnavigated the UK on a jet-ski. Crossed the North Atlantic Arctic ocean on a small rigid inflatable boat. Flew a powered parachute over the Himalayas to raise charity money for children.

He has accomplished more in a few years than most of us will do in a lifetime. And I wouldn't hesitate to say the guy could hold his own in a survival situation. To say you hate him or he's a phony or fake? What have you done lately?

He was in the SAS TA, not the SAS. And he was not an instructor. He was only in long enough to make it through the training pipeline and make half a deployment before he got hurt.

He has done a lot with his life, I will give him that. But his claims to records and what not are false.
