    Scary.....

I hope she's healthy man. I recommend a vet appointment be scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. Gorgeous coloration on her! Good luck.

    Re: New pastel coming.

Yikes! I usually check that boi before purchasing an animal online, but this time I was so stoked to find a female with that coloration that I just jumped on it. Too late now. If half of that post is true, it makes me sick that I am supporting such a horrible operation. There are a couple local shops here in FL that I refuse to support due to the conditions thier herps and feeders are kept in. She will definitely be going to the vet and be kept in a different room than the rest of my collection. Thanks for the heads up.

OK, I just finished reading over 100 pages of posts on that BOI. Both incidents were in 2006, and it appears Allen has law enforcement regularly visiting his facility to check on it's cleanliness since the incident occurred. Also, no complaints about IBD since then. She will still go to the vet and be quarantined, and I wouldn't have bought the snake knowing what I know now, but I feel a little better since it appears he has cleaned up his act somewhat since 2006.

You kidding? He tried to dump his entire business a couple weeks ago. Myself and a few BP.netters were at a local show this weekend and his animals didn't look all that great....

Hey, he knows to QT the animal, let's stop bringing him down. Looks like beautiful snake and from the picture, looks pretty healthy. You probably have that feeling in your stomach like "I hope I made the right decision". You did, if they're really that bad, then you saved a BP, and that would make anybody else here happy.

So be happy for what you're getting, she looks amazing.

Does anyone have a pic of this guy? I am at the Bham show almost every month and have no clue who he is. At least a description.

    Re: New pastel coming.

Dan, yes I have that feeling in my stomach right now. Serves me right for pulling the trigger so quickly. I've been looking for a really yellow pastel for a while and haven't seen anything but dirty looking tan ones for sale, so I got a little trigger happy when I saw this one on KS. I hope she is healthy.

Quarantine and vet visits. I recommend a 30 to 90 day stay in the other end of the house if possible. If she is a carrier for IBD it will transfer to all other snakes in your home without proper care. It looks pretty healthy though so maybe you got a winner. Pastels are my favorite.

    Re: New pastel coming.

She won't be going anywhere near my other snakes for at least a year. Why would I even consider it? She won't be ready to breed for longer than that. She will get an initial vet visit, plus a followup screening when she reaches breeding size.
