    Re: Adult cage opinions.

I have the RBI 3x2x1 cages and they work fine even for the largest female ball pythons. My largest ball is a bit over 2000g and is just fine in the 3x2x1. I also have it heated with a RHP and the 12" height works fine

What size RHP do you have installed?

I have the 80watt because I live in the high desert and it gets cold and so the 80watt not only takes care of the cage temps but also boosts the ambient temps. Flex watt will not boost ambient temps!

Since it appears that you are from Alabama, I bet the 40watt for a 3x2x1 cage would be fine. I'd call Rich at RBI and ask him!

No flexwatt wont help you much with that Do you still use it for underside heat on your warmer side tough? I was thinking the 40watt as well. There is a vendor that has allot of RBI products here at a local show I go to here in Birmingham, which is next weekend, and I was planning on picking up some supplies so I will look into them there and if they dont have what Im looking for I will contact Rich.

    Re: Adult cage opinions.

I don't use flex in any of my cages and it is erroneous that ball pythons need belly heat; my snakes are proof. They eat consistently, they shed thoroughly, they pee, they poo, and I have two breeding right now!!

I have the RHP's off set of the middle (to one side.) RHP's (at least the one's from Rich) are the bomb!!! Love them!!

    Re: Adult cage opinions.

Sounds like they do all the things a healthy snake should do then! Thanks for the advice!
