Haha, what didn't go bad... the input jack is... jacked. All the soldering came out so it'll pick up the rhythm and sound real dry but as soon as you crank a little distortion into it, it's silent night haha

That would depend on the guitar and what kind of sound you're going for.

I suppose you're right. It's just they were designed kinda to be paired. I could see running them both at the same time. But it would seem a little much.

The 85's in the neck are much bigger sounding IMO and the 81 has the right amount of treble but not over too over bassy.

Yo Vomitore here is an old V for ya. I purchased this from Drum city guitar land years back. I had to restore it since all of it's hardware was rusted and the neck was in bad shape.

It was lost by ESP and some how DCGL got their hands on it. It's right out of the custom shop.

I would have preferred to find an old ESP crackle finish neck-thru KKV but this one sounds amazing. Very chunky and holds tune like a champ. I'm not a fan of the headstock or that much of a Slayer fan but it's a fun guitar to play.

    Nah DCGL. http://www.drumcityguitarland.com/dr...s/1/index.aspx

All the hardware on it was rusted so I bought it for a sweet price then fixed it up. It's got the EMG pa2 switch for an extra 20db of gain, 81b/60n combo. The Kahler can be a bit shakey when the seasons change for some reason but other than that it has all the tone of a mahagony guitar.

I've always enjoyed playing V's the most with the Jackson USA Rhoads being my all time favorite but that ESP KKV eeeked it's way into being a keeper.

I've been GASing lately for a custom RR-1 but since our economy is on life support my plans are on hold...for now.

Nice. They are rare guitars. I've only seen one in person. But yeah, the Kahlers are a weird bridge.
