I've got my hog island boa in a tub with a log. He does climb on it quite a bit. He's only a few months old, when he gets bigger I plan to put him in a taller enclosure. I also take him out a couple times a week. He really likes the "arm tree." My tubs are in a room that is about 68 degrees. I did put some more insulation around both my racks for the winter. They are both keeping good temps because of the extra insulation.
