    Re: Dallas Chokes Again

I'm a big time Dallas fan, it was rough to watch. I think Phillips has got to go. We need someone who will hold the players more accountable. Phillips let them get away with too much. I also think that Romo could be the next Tom Brady, but right now he just makes too many mistakes. He needs a better coach to help get him to the next level. I'd like to see Mike Holmgren come in as HC and QB coach. I hope to God that Jones doesn't make Garrett head coach - he'll be a great coach someday, but not now. Still too young and in experienced.

Yeah, I've loved Dallas and have cheered them as long as I can remember. Wade Phillips isn't a good head coach. He's not involved on a team level enough. Garrett is the most predictable play caller in the NFL. If I can tell what the play is before they snap it, then the other teams defense does. Romo was a great QB before he started dating Jessica, he needs to keep his mind on the game and learn to throw quick passes more often. The only time they moved the ball was when they did quick passes over the middle.

i wonder how long before jerry jones figures out that spending large sums of money on "big name" players doesn't always turn into wins.

he seems well on his way to becoming the george steinbrenner of the NFL.

    Re: Dallas Chokes Again

I think the best part about the Cowboys not being in the playoffs is the rediculous price they paid to get Roy Williams. He was supposed to be a difference maker there and consequently they gave up high picks as well as a new contract with loads of guaranteed money to get him. Since being acquired in a trade with Detroit, Williams caught just 19 passes for 198 yards and one touchdown in 9 games.

I love the Eagles, but seeing Dallas choke as hard as they did is almost as satisfying.

Williams was a waste of money. He can't even run the right routes.
