    Maybe the web author is pointing out that a genetic striped pied has to inherit four mutant alleles (two pied and two stripe)? I thought the mention of the markers was interesting, would like to hear the background story, maybe it involves possible hets.

    Good thought, maybe that is the case, but when I hear quadruple combo I am of the mindset of thinking, there are 4 totally different genes at work in that combo. This is taking nothing away from the animal, because it is definately nice to look at!
