Re: why did my ball change color?
Females tend to go through a drastic colour change when gravid.

I'm not experienced enough to be helpful and she was pretty before, but damn! She's hot now! (I hope that someone else can give you more insight!)

She looks pretty large for a yearling, but not out of the question large. There was a thread a while ago where hgrub's spider female shed and lost all colour and basically turned axanthic. As far as I know she slowly regained her colour and went back to normal. But what's happened here seems to be the opposite, normal to almost pastel like. This gain in colour as opposed to a loss like in the other thread leads me to believe she's likely gravid.

how would she be gravid when she claims that she is the only ball python she owns? We have all heard of some morphs getting brighter with age, but since she got it from petsmart it leads me to believe that it was originaly a pastel that got sold as a normal since it appeared to be so. I say she is a pastel from those pics, or my eyes are playing tricks on me. I am not the only one, I say pastel

Well if you look at the video it's clearly not a pastel... the eyes are pitch black... she's a normal so who knows why she just got lighter... you can see that she had nice blushing when you got her... she was a nice pick from petsmart!
