    Shed or something else?

hey everyone, so we've got a bit of a problem or we're just confused- a few days ago our snake Pistachio (pastel ball) looked like he was all ready for a shed- his scales looked opaque ( more then normal) and his eyes were cloudy, so naturally we left him alone thinking he should shed- his last she was about 4 weeks ago or so. Today, Bo looked at him and the eyes were not cloudy at all and his scales look fine. He took him out of the tank and hes acting normal, except that hes letting Bo pet him on the top of his head which before he wasn't too fond of.

any suggestions on what could be happening?

    thanks!

    this is correct
first they loose their colors, and eyes get all cloudy.
and then it all goes away

I would imagine the rubbing on the head feels good. Our snakes love for us to assist shed them, they almost act like they itch. I would imagine it feels as good as when we scratch and peel skin when sunburned.
