I am definitely trying to do everything I can to help her!
I got the ointment the vet prescribed: Silver Sulfadiazine/50gm.
I'm told it's a burn creme, and very soothing.
I came home and she was balled up under her hide, and when I took her out to clean the tub and her, she didn't want to unroll at first. Poor girl.
I coaxed her to open up, and soaked her in the diluted Chlorhex solution for about 10 minutes before taking her out and washing her off, and trying to get some of the unshed skin off.
I applied the Sulfadiazine liberally, though she'll slither it off soon.
She didn't want me touching her underneath at first, but after I began applying the creme, she let me finish. It must feel much better!
She's crawling around her tub now, and even looks happier, though I wish she'd understand that she needs to relax and not crawl around to heal right now...
Thank you all again for all of your help. I'm going to keep this thread updated for anyone who cares to know how she's doing, plus it's good for anyone else looking for burn treatment.
I wish I could edit my initial post!
