i think flexwatt and UTHs are pretty much the same thing and are used the same way with a thermostat.

last time i checked flex-a-watt was brand name of UTH

Starmom is since you seem to be the resident RHP expert, is there an easy way to incorporate a RHP into a glass tank?

In addition, if RHP is the only heating you have do you just put it on the warm side and it does enough to get the cool side up as well?

Oh my gods- no expert here!!! Rich is the expert (at Reptile Basics)

I have my 80watt RHP's off set to one side of my cages. They bump up the ambient temps (I really needed that) and also raise the cool side to the temps they need to be.

I strongly urge you to email or call Rich (he's a heck of a good guy) and ask him how best to do your glass tank

I would also never use anyone's panels but Rich's. They are great and are warranted for 10 years. I can count on them for my snakes

Flexwatt is generally cheaper to use, rather than UTH's and Bulbs or CHE's Too...

Flex watt is cheaper in the short run insofar as purchasing cost. Flex watt and RHP's are somewhat similar in electricity usage though Rich thinks that maybe RHP's will be a little less to run.

I have had a strip of flex watt poop out on me after a little less than a year of usage and that was a drag. I have not had any of the RHP's give me any issues at all.

For me, in my cages, it's RHP's all the way
