How did you get one accidentally, LOL
you can expect them to double their size in the first year, though some almost triple.

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen this question over the years.
    .
There's no growth rate for boas, or any snake. They all grow at different rates. Some snakes grow faster than others. I've had litter mates, who were kept in the same type of cage, fed the same type (and size) of food, as well as frequency, and they all grew at different rates.
    .
On average, expect a neonate to hit about the 3ft mark in a year. Most boas, regardless of the ssp., will mature around 3-5 years. Cage temps, feeding frequency, sex, and locality are all variables that aid in a boa's growth.

Yeah, too many variables to nail it down for an individual snake. Also, their metabolism will adjust to their food availability.

I'm interested too. How did you "accidently" get a boa?

Or did you mean you hadn't planned on it? Because if that's the case it's kinda like somebody havin' sex. "Oh man, this is cool" and then it's "wah-waaaaaah" and the next thing you know it's a lifetime of responsibility. Or at least in this case with the snake a 20 year (more-or-less) commitment to an animal that will outlast any dog or cat if cared for properly. Good luck with the boa! Colombian?

    Re: Grow Rate?!?

LoL...Yeah boss, i am aware of the long term commitment... I have had reptiles for pets for ovr 10 yrs now...BUT i have never had any boa before... This albino boa was my first (got a super salmon between the last and this post)

To cut a long story short, months ago i wire a full amout of dosh for a particular baLL python morph..Come pick-up day, he gave me 2 ball morph and this albino boa(without consulting and discussing with me)..(And before anybody says anything, Yeah he kinda played me out but i am happy nevertheless) LoL...

Does this define "accidently" to you guys??? LoL....

WiLL post some pix of this couple in the nxt few days or so... And yeah its a colombian..(i think so, need the experts to confirm it when i post them pix...Heheh)
