I haven't seen the BHB cinnamon enchi but I don't see much enchi in this snake. Well a little bit.

You hatched way more snake than I did for sure and not the first cinnamon and enchi you hatch so you probably know what you are talking about.

But could that snake be just a really nice awesome cinnamon ? Like one with a lot of blushing and weird pattern ?

Unless the mom or dad was a super enchi, how would you know for sure ?

btw : awesome animal this one is

It's funny you should mention BHB's animal because they did produced some and they DID look different. Now here's the interesting part...

Our animal that I posted pictures of was produced from a breeding between our male Enchi and one of our female Pewters. If you look at ours, it looks like a Cinnamon with a bit of Enchi in it.

Brian's animal was produced from a breeding between a male Pewter to a female Enchi. His looks like an Enchi with a bit of Cinnamon in it.

This leads to the bigger question - can the appearance of the offspring vary and be dependent based on what sex each parent is? Meaning - does our animal look more like a Cinnamon with Enchi coloration because mom was a Pewter? And therefore, does Brian's animal look more like an Enchi with Cinnamon influences because he used a female Enchi? If this is true, then does that mean that mom's morph is more dominant than dad's?

So for example, would the Bumblebees from a Spider x Pastel look any different than the Bumblebees from a Pastel x Spider? Brian and John Piro did notice significant differences in the visual appearances of Kingpins based on what each parent was in the breeding.

I don't know if this observation is true for all morphs because I don't think there has been enough detailed notes kept on various breedings to draw a definitive conclusion but it would make for an interesting project!

That is a very interesting concept. I assumed there were variations in the concentration of either morph but never figured it would be based on the sex of the parent.

The cinamon gene seems to be a strong genetic trait that can dominate other morphs (like spider for example) but possibly, when the sex of parent is different (female), that control over the other morph is weakened and the Enchi gene dominates the combination.

Brians animal definately looks alot more Enchi which the orange tones from the cinny. Sounds like something that should prove itself out if in fact that is the case.

I have a female Enchi that I was going to pair with a black pastel next season. Hopefully i will be able to add to the theory.
