    Re: My First Ball Python!

He might not be going into the hides yet since he doesn't know whats in there - its a dark space that could have predators.

I'm trying to picture him on the leaf suctioned to the side... now that is something you should get pics of!

    Re: My First Ball Python!

Yeah, he didn't put his head in the cool side hide and only poked his head in his warm side. He jerked back for some reason, so maybe he got scared. I left him alone and a friend came over and I showed him to her. I put a towel over the front of the tank to give him so darkness. I pulled it back and he wasn't in the hide, but curled up in the corner BEHIND the hide on the cool side. It was weird.

I'll try and get pics of him in the leaf thing next time he does it.

    Congrats!

Diana really knows her scaley kids and I'm sure you got a wonderful and healthy snake. Good luck with your new critter.

UPDATE: I went out for a few hours tonight and came back and he was in his warm side hide! Everything seems to be working out great.

Yeah, she was awesome throughout the entire process. She was extremely helpful, thorough, and just great overall. There was a small issue with shipping and I brought it to her attention and she went above and beyond with finding out what was going on and I honestly appreciate that.

I'm already wanting a million. This has turned me on to reptiles more than I ever thought it would.

I'll snap some pics tomorrow probably.

    I will definitely do that.

I really want a lemon pastel I think. I've seen some with absolutely breathtaking colors.

I'm not working with Lemon pastels but I do have a Graziani breeder male pastel that has made some pretty nice babies if I do say so myself...

At any rate, looking forward to earning your business again. Oh and get to working on a name for your new guy...

The lemon pastel is what got me hooked on BPs to begin with. Absolutely gorgeous.

I'm working on a name still. I want it to stick.
