Re: What do you do for a Job.

I am the kennel manager at a doggie daycare and boarding facility. Basically I clean kennels, bathe dogs, and spend a large portion of my day in a 3 acre field surrounded by 50-100 dogs and I get payed to play with them. Love the job, only real downside is the occational bite while breaking up a scuffle, well that and having to scoop dog poop 3 times a day!

Other than that, I'm 40 something and used to be a secretary. Worked in alot of different places. Now, I have a mini-farm with llamas, goats, lots of rabbits, ducks, hens, chickens, turkeys, etc. And I love it!

If you like what you do, it doesn't matter. The important thing is to be happy when you go to work.

Re: What do you do for a Job.

I am a Jill of all trades.
Started young, but then went into the US Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic on P-3 Orions.
Got out and did lots of things from Carriage Driver, Receptionist at a Mortuary, security.
My last position was the Asst. Director of a company called WFS (Women in Fire Service), The ED retired and I was left to run the company through a merger and a conference.
Here is the new site http://www.i-women.org/
I was with them for 2 yrs, when the Board of Trustees decided to move the office to VA.

I have been unemployed for a while, started babysitting.
And now I work for Pet Super Store. I just started there last Monday.
They have a good reptile person, but most every one else has left. The new asst. Manager is pretty clueless about most things, but is willing to learn. And knows when to say she doesn't know something, or to refer them to some one who does know.
I baby sit two days a week on top of that.

I'm an office manager at a local herp/exotics vet. Its fun. I just wish I was more in the back than in the front. I hate paperwork and would rather be with the animals.

Re: What do you do for a Job.

I'm currently in the vet tech program. When I graduate the program I am going to the Equine Science Program at SIUC. I hope to work at a zoo (herp house or big cats preferably) with the vets behind the scenes there and at a racetrack in Tennessee.

I also just got a job at Toys 'R' Us I can't wait to start that Tuesday...gonna be a blast!

    No Cable guys yet huh?

Well i'm a cable guy............No more installing though, i have moved on up. I basically handle the hardline cable that runs from pole to pole. I'm one step away from the Headend, which controls everything. i wrk the 4 pm to 12:30AM Shift, and you might think it's work to do at that time, but while your sleeping were fixing or trying to make your internet better/faster or tv clearer /worst

i don't like my job and i would like to finish school.......just don't know what i want to do.

24 years old and i have 18 credits in criminal justice ...... fun major but i don't want to do anything in that field.
