So the only way to keep these guys thriving is to make sure you do your research and keep your husbandry up to par & spot on. I started babbling, to answer your question as to which one i suggest its really up to you, do your research and see which one like the looks of, which one you feel up to taking on as far as husbandry requirements, etc.... If it were up to me... Hmmm, im always up for a new chondro!
Lol yeah, I'm leaning towards the ATB at this point. But don't worry I'm not an impulse buyer. I always do all my homework first before getting a new species of animal. I love the look of most chondros though so IDK it's still kind of a toss up lol. I'm gonna be getting a couple books on them first before I commit to anything

I agree with you completely. ATB's seem very easy to care for, comparably, but i love the look of a chondros.

Absolutely. If you go up there ask Andy to see his chondros and his ETBs they've got some absolutely beautiful ones upstairs! They do a tour of the breeding facility on Saturdays at 4, it's totally worth it they pull out some awesome animals and quite a few that you would never see anywhere else. Kara is awesome too I went up there last weekend hoping to see her but I forgot that NARBC was going on *doh* lol.

Chondros RULE!!!!! Many are actually pretty mellow, but like Tosha mentioned at night they are little hunters and are best left alone. If you can keep a carpet python, then you can handle a chondro. Babies are a little fragile so it is important to get one that is well started.

GTP!! I have one and he/she is totally ok with being held day or night. I haven't tried to hold it at night but a buddy of mine did with no problems. mine has only bitten me when i took him out of the container he was shipped in.
they get kinda pissy just before a shed like most snakes do.
