Can humidity be too high?

Im using a glass tank with a UTH. The air temp right now(9:16PM) is 77* F and humidity is 46% without misting.

Does this sound alright to everyone? It is my first night with my BP and im just trying to make sure ive got everything alright. I got my humidity up from 34% to 46% by adding foil to half the lid like someone suggested.

I feel like the temperature is to low and that i should switch over to the lamp i have so it has good hot basking temp. but im afriad it will ruin the humidity. I used the lamp when i first brought her home and she seemed to really like it, and was climbing up the fake rock structure i have and basking and then i read most people use UTH so i switched.

You need a warm side at AT LEAST 90-95F and the cool side between 80-85 as well as ambient (air).
Mist the cage to up the humidity to 60%.

So should i switch over to the heat lamp again which was keeping the basking side at 86-90 F and then at night, turn off the heat lamp and turn the heat pad on which keeps it at at around 77 F?

As long as you use a UTH, you can use a heat lamp in conjunction with one to help tempertures.
Why is your UTH reading such low temperatures?

Its Zoo Med 120VAC 60Hz 8W

Does that sound wrong? If so what is the correct one so i can go and buy one tommorow.

Normally, Zoo Med UTHs from my experience get TOO hot and require a thermostat.
Maybe because it's an 8W. Do they have other wattages available?

aaah.. yeah I can't think of anything that would help you out there :/

They also have a 16 and 24 watt available. I guess ill go get the 16 tommorow, and hopefully they will cut me a deal since it was them that recommended the one i ended up purchasing.

I use a glass tank and a heat lamp, and in summer the humidity was averaging 78-82% here. When it rained, (summer rainfall), the humidity would go up to 85-87%. This place gets hot, and very humid.
I never had a problem of any rot, infection, nothing.
My snake eats every week, sheds fine and is quiet content in her tank.
The vet said she is healthy and beautiful?
