Baby albino feeding concerns

My female albino is around 100grams, and has not been an aggressive feeder whatsoever. When I had my male at that weight I couldn't put a mouse in with him for more than 10 seconds before it was gone (hes on f/t now)...She is on live and I had tried to switch her over but no interest at all. Currently she is in a 10gallon, 2 hides, temps around 87-88 at the warm end...

Is this signs of a problem feeder for the future?

Any good way to switch her over (my other bp/other snakes had no problems at all)...Should I try just feeding once a week and if she doesn't take it wait another week, or is she too young?

Would moving her into a smaller enclosure help?

Yes, wait a week between refusal if you offer to often, it will only stress her which will lead to more refusal.

Just be patient and offer what works, for now and until she eats with consistency and has a good weight on her I would hold off on trying to switch her.

Well established animals are usually easier to switch.

Honestly? I would maybe warm up the environment some and maybe switch her to an even smaller cage. 100g is a teeny snake and maybe she's feeling insecure in the environment.

Also, do you have the tank covered on all sides so she isn't feeling exposed? Perhaps you could put a lot of crumpled paper in the tank to help decrease unused space....

Yeah the tank has paper taped to all the sides, she has eaten live for me every week that I've had her now, slowly but she has but I really don't like feeding live and want to switch her...I ahve a 12qt rubbermaid I will probably put her in...

6qt tub and up your temps. 4-6" clay saucer with hole chipped out of side for a hide. I use 94-95 on warm side and 83-84 cool side. My babies thrive and try to take my face off.

Every snake is just a little different and so what worked for your male is obviously not working for your female. It really does seem as though she is telling you that she has a need and now you get to be a flexible detective and try to figure out what that need is.

I have one ball python who is just totally different from all of the others and has needed a very small space and has needed to eat live (all my others get f/t). She has taught me the value of flexibility in husbandry approaches and has really taught me how to read snakes a lot better.

Sounds like this little girl of yours is asking for a much smaller space and then you might try to leave her alone for a week prior to attempting to feed again. Also, you might want to bump up her temps to 94 or 95F as an increase in temps seemed to help my little one be hungrier; probably because they digest faster at higher temps...?

Anyway, I bet if you did these couple of simple things then you'll achieve results. Good luck!
