Adopting a 5yr male Burm or buying a baby that's the question.
I have a bit of a dilema, although I know it is probably best to raise one from young. The person has had this 5yr great looking animal which is 10ft right now, and according to the owner has great temperament and health. How big do you think this snake will get, considering it is 5yrs old? I already know the max sizes of burms but that's not what I'm asking here.
Thank you for your comments in advance

well..... I'm guessing since you are aware of their maximum size, then you have your answer

Any idea on its weight? Does it look skinny, fat, or in between?
How about the sex?
At 5 years old and 10' I'd guess it's a male, considering it's been fed well. In which case, it may not grow at all or maybe a foot tops.
If it's a 5 year old 10' female that has not been fed well, she will grow slowly to maybe another 4-5 feet considering you feed her well.

well it is an albino male, and as far as I can see from the picture it looks ok for a large snake, it has a decend girth. I do not know the weight but I'll find out. Also the snake has been in this guy's posession for 5yrs and according to him it about 8-10yrs old; healthy and always fed frozen. I as much as I want to adopt it I'm still concerned about it's behaviour since it's not used to me even though I was told he is a sweet snake.

Why does he want to get rid of it? Sounds like a perfectly good snake to me

I'm waiting to hear from him, so would you adopt or raise one from a baby if it was you?

I'd raise one from a baby because it would be my first burm
Although I do feel like there are a lot of burmese out there that are in shelters/rescues because people buy cute little babies, ignorant of what they will become in the future...

It it's 8-10 it's and a male, there's a good chance that it may not grow very much more at all. Maybe an extra foot if you're lucky.
