Truth is stranger than fiction.
Hey that exact scenario was on House! Damn and I thought that show was original

Re: Putting Ball Pythons on a vegan diet
That post is rediculous... I can't take it serious.
As far as the side debate that is going on... Why do people care how someone else decides to eat? It is their body, they can put in it what they like... The sad part is not what they have decided, but that so many people make a big deal out of their decision. And that works both ways. Have an educated, civil discussion on the topic, to share your ideals and beliefs with the community. Don't do it by insulting a group of people or becoming derogatory, people are born free. A song I wrote years ago states "Other peoples views, Are not your's to choose, So your pointing fingers really is no use...". Is this thread turning into a Futile attempt to prove who is right "Vegan or Meat eaters"? Pretty sad if it is... just enjoy the fact that everyone here has the right to eat what they like, and learn to respect that they have the right to decide just like you do.
And what does it say about our society when we use the term that decribes the group of people that preach "Peace, Love, and an Open Mind", as a derogatory insult. Why do so many people hate on Hippies?

I never saw that episode, but I know I have seen a couple of other House episodes that were obviously based in part on real life stories.
The real couple was afraid of hospitals, gave birth in a bathtub, and their kid never saw a doctor until the end (so the House story may have been pretty accurate).

Re: Putting Ball Pythons on a vegan diet
You know, the sensitivity of people these days makes me want to kill myself by getting my eyes pecked out slowly by a spice finch. Why do people get so offended by anything these days? Ho Ho Ho is bad now. Omg, don't call me a hippie. Oh please don't play xmas music, oh why aren't you playing xmas music? Don't allow smokers, why don't you allow smokers? I am offended by your reptile, I am offended that you don't like reptiles. You eat meat and that offends me, you don't eat meat and that offends me. The human race just makes me laugh.

Also, your comment is as well very stereotypical and incorrect.
Actually....I am correct in my definition of a hippie since hippie itself is a broad term and can have different meanings. here is the definition if you want to get specific:
"....a person, esp. of the late 1960s, who rejected established institutions and values and sought spontaneity, direct personal relations expressing love, and expanded consciousness, often expressed externally in the wearing of casual, folksy clothing and of beads, headbands, used garments, etc. "
...therefore, I am not wrong, and neither are you. We just have different inrepretations of the word "hippie". Just because someone else has a different opinion than you, it doesn't make them wrong.

haha I'm guilty of being sensitive, but I won't take something not personally directed at me personally, so I guess I'm not that sensitive.

Re: Putting Ball Pythons on a vegan diet
As stupid as that person was, the insults with the whole "hippie" and "too stoned" comments are non sense.
First, not all vegans are hippies. In fact, I don't remember the last time the two were in any way related.
Second, not all potheads are idiots just the same as not all potheads/hippies/vegans want to put their animals on a vegan diet.
As someone who has the lyrics to 'Imagine' tattooed, I really don't give a hoot if you call me a hippie. In fact, thank you. But I'm in no way stupid enough to stop feeding my snake rats and mice just because some idiot on yahoo questions thought it would be a smart idea.
Bite your tongue.
