    They are very cute! Good luck with your project. Breeding rats is actually fun for me.

    Why bother with a glass tank when you can easily make some bin out of Rubbermaid tubs? With the Rubbermaid tubs you can always have a clean one ready and they are much lighter than a glass tank. I've never kept rats in glass tanks, am I missing something?

    There are several post on how to make the tubs.

    You aren't missing anything at all. but i just feel safer with glass because its 100% fail proof as the rats getting out or biting through anything then escaping. i have heard of rats biting through bins and people have to keep buying them and i dont wanna come home one day and have rats all over my house.

    i'm more of a safe than sorry person so imma stick with the tanks.
