well you couldnt find him for a time and had a little attack so i would say that you legitimately lost him.

Lol, I feel ya!!! Although, I haven't *lost* a snake yet! I'm a newbie!
But I can relate to you on the hubby thing.... I went to double check on the snake and found that I didn't entirely latch the tub! "My boyfriend is going to kill me!" Thank god it was only for a minute and he didn't get out!
He's not fond of me having snakes, and only mildly tolerates them!

Yeah, that's my hubby. I wouldn't even say he mildly tolerates them.
Another reason that you should be fully alert while dealing with your snakes.
