It's true your head is a big heat emmitting block. A snake that is in distress or hungry could very well focus on your head when striking. It's not a total myth in that regards.


Why in the world would someone stick and wag their tongue out at their snake?


Also, ever been bit by a BP? Hardly a mark if you ask me. I've been bit a couple of times, and each time it felt like a pinch, the only reason I bleed a little is because their teeth are sharp and small, so they can make a nice little spot.

In my opinion, a paper cut or hangnail all hurt and bleed worse than a BP bite.

Now, go get bit by a BP, then an adult rat, tell me which one seems more dangerous.
