Was it live? F/T?
I would wait a couple of weeks before feeding again and definately get him to the vet.

If it was F/T I would be concerned about quality.
Sounds like the snake has some kind of digestive disorder wether it be parasitic or viral.

Doesnt sound like fun. Hope you get a vet to clear it up soon.

After a re-gurge, you shouldn't attempt to feed for at least two weeks, because they need time to re-build the fauna in their bellies. The regurge itself is very stressful on their body and not being allowed to recover only makes it worse.

Secondly - my very first ball python regurged and I jumped on here immediately and was advised to take him the vet, which I did and he had internal parasites that had caused the regurge. He was treated with Panacur by the vet, one dose a week. He was not offered food again until a week AFTER his last doseage.

Good luck - the vet is far more important than that round of golf!

i know the vet is more important.it just sux i have to give up a round of golf due to a sick snake.i got this guy as a captive bred animal at a show and expected no problems.needless to say im a little bit upset.

you said the doctor gave the snake panacur treatments? weird,my vet just gave me the medication and said here you go,give this orally once a week.this was for a captive hatched girl i got awhile back (she is doing great now) but did it cost extra to have the vet do it?

No, it didn't cost me extra to have the vet do it, but my vet is one of a kind. He also doesn't charge me office visits for my snakes, only for treatment. Same with the rats. The only animals that get office visit charges are the dog and cats.

He's the exotics vet at my dog and cat clinic, and I have another vet on my speed dial for anything bigger than general wellness or internal parasites that only works with herps.

Butters, whether it's a captive bred snake or not, whether it's a dog or a cat or a bird - keeping animals equals occasional vet costs. To expect that you'd never have a vet cost because a snake is captive bred is fooling yourself.

I think you fed far too soon and far too big after the last regurge, which is likely what triggered this one. Are you absolutely sure this snake isn't being handled too much after eating? Are you sure your temps are correct so that this snake can digest fast enough before the prey inside it starts to decompose?

im 100% sure im not handling too soon after feeding.i really dont handle mine much period.i take them out here and there.if i am going to handle one its the oldest.he is more chill.

as for feeding him too soon,i wasnt sure he regurged the first time or i would have waited a few weeks.

unless the thermometer is broke the temps are dead on
