Great looking rack! how does the little food drop down affect opening the tubs?

Great idea for the drop down!! I imagine if you put it towards the front enough, you can still get the tub down and out?

Well your correct on the fact that being near the front i can pull the tub almost fully out, but i cant totally remove the tub. I decided this is fine with me though as I just move the mice to another tub and suck all the used substrate out with my shopvac. Then just give it a good cleaning with some clorohexidine, let dry, and then refill.

Is that 1/2 inch mesh?
