    Angry FedEx does it again

Last night I shipped out the paradox and had a snake shipped to me. Both were priority, next day by 10:30 delivery. It's now noon here in Chicago, and 1:00 pm in Miami, and both snakes are still on the trucks. I called and they said both were do to "extreme weather". Here in the Chicago burbs it started drizzling at around 8:30, and has been drizzling on and off since. Not too extreme in my book. And in Miami right now, weather.com says it's partly cloudy. I know this isn't a new rant, but what the hell!? I hope that paradox gets delivered before the temps get above 87 there. I couldn't sleep last night, and I won't be able to relax until I know she arrived safe.

That sucks! Don't they have to fly at some point for that delivery? I know that hurricane aftermath has had it raining non-stop with strong gusts of wind here in AR and surrounding states for the past 3 days. That might have something to do with it. Just bad luck I guess.
Too many snakes to be declared "sane" as far as my friends are concerned....

Sorry to hear that Jake I hope she makes it to her destination in good condition

I get frustrated with FedEx all the time with work related materials being late - I'd be flipping out if it was a live animal

I know there is crazy weather around Louisianna and Mississippi, but it made it to Miami fine, and was on the delivery truck early this morning. No problems there, just a slow driver, I guess.

They're also probably trying to catch up from the past gov holiday which I'm sure a lot of people took vacation for. Still no excuse for an overnight delivery that costs an arm and a leg which involves a live animal.

    Re: FedEx does it again

Thats exactly why I try to have shippers hold my package at the FedEx distribution center, then I can just go pick up the snakes right when the center opens at 9 am and I don't have to worry about the delivery trucks. In AZ it just gets too hot to not do it that way.

    Re: FedEx does it again

My new snake just got here, 2 1/2 hours late, and it hasn't even been drizzling for an hour. I'm in a garden apartment in my condo, and I beat the driver to the front door. He was the slowest walker (and probably driver) I've ever seen. His eyes were hella blood shot. Either he was really sick, or really stoned. On top of that, he had the release to leave it at the door, no signature required, and when I let him in (I had to hold the door for him while he mossied on up) he wouldn't give me my package until I went and got an ID. Even the Fedex site says he left it at the door, no sig required. The paradox is nor over 3 1/2 hours late and is still on the truck. Being in Miami, I wonder what kind of drugs that driver's taking.
