    Re: CINNACALs SHED!!!

Calico's have been making some really cool crosses recently.

One of the few that I'll actually say I want to move faster along the market because I'd like to see them with some breeders available to us.

There is actually a story behind the name... When we first started talking about this project, we all thought it would not turn out so well after seeing the Spider Cinnamons - Cinnabees (greg and i talked about it for a while at the fire show and we thought the white would not come through, as it really didnt on Kevin's Cinnabees, i think thats because he used a black pastel. We figured the Cinnamon trait was just to dominant over other traits). I almost didnt do the cross after seeing them. Then last year i made the Cinnamon x Spider cross and mine came out pretty good ( i used a cinnamon instead of a black) the white ended up coming through... Everyone i talked to still seemed skeptical (and so was i) but i said what they hay and did it anyways. When they came out awesome i figured the name cynicals would be pretty cool... But it works better as Cinnacals!

    Jon,
Those are looking great after the first shed. I look forward to seeing how they develop as the get older. Chalk up another victory for the Cinnamon over the Black Pastel.
