Re: Sneak peek at Olive's progeny. :)

    Thanks all.

I couldn't be happier. Zolan and Olive have given me 5 pastels, and 4 normal P-het hypos.

I went with the small slits this time. Just enough to peek in and look. And most of the babes made their own holes anyway. One of the little pastels in on its third hole. Love seeing that little egg tooth.

I just expect them to open their mouths and lisp at me.

Once they are all out, I will pop about 8 Zan... and sleep for a week. I need it!

Thanks for the nice comments and thanks for looking, and yes, now that they've hatched I will FINALLY shut up about this clutch! At least I'll stop asking the following...

    1. Think she's buidling?
    2. Is this a glow?
    3. Is she ovulating?
    4. How long after the prelay shed again?
    5. Do I look fat in these jeans?

Re: Sneak peek at Olive's progeny. :)

    I do have updates.

    Thanks for the comments.

I have been OD'ing on these babes. I have fought the urge to cut the eggs at all. Everyone is in and out of the eggs right now. I have split the five that have come out into smaller tupperware and placed them back in the incubator, dropped the temps a few degrees, and am waiting till they come out so that I can get the rack up and running (the thermo for the rack is running the incubator).

Here are the pastels while they were still in the eggs...

Then the first three to leave the eggs...

    Normal possible het hypo male.

Normal possible het hypo female. I like her light colors, I think she'll be staying with us.

    FINALLY got my girl!

Xena... pronounced K' sen ya... NOT Zena(!). I will not even say how long I have had that name picked out for.

Had two more leave the eggs, but no pics yet. A male normal possible het hypo and a pastel male as well.

I'll hang onto the first male pastel. That gives me one holdback pastel male from each of my females (Linda and Olive), and lets me get an idea of how they'll colour up.

    Thanks (again) for looking,
    Bruce

And I have to throw in a pic of dad as a babe... if you look you can see the trident on his neck... 3 of the 5 pastel babes have the same marking.
