I like to place them on a clean white piece of melamine. No reflection, no dust.. I tried furry fabrics but my camera tends to pick up every gram of dust and magnify it! Makes it very hard to photograph my cat.

Nice area to do photography and my hubby has those work lights as well.. them suckers get hot!! but using those is a great idea and the picture of your snake is proof of that.. nice snake btw.
