State Reptile?

I learned all the state animals when I was in 4th grade, along with the state flower, state tree and all that stuff... I just forgot about them until you posted this thread... Had to dig WAY back in my mind for that one.

Where I grew up in Arizona its the Ring Nosed Rattlesnake, but growing up my teachers in school told me it was the Gila Monster... Maybe it changed...

Hmm, apparently South Carolina's, which is where I'm originally from, is the loggerhead sea turtle. At least we have good taste.

yeah i like the painted turtles and all, but that's about as boring as our state bird - the robin!
i say massasauga rattlesnake.
