Fires are a base morph.
You need one to make more...
Or you can get a Black eye Leucistic and make a lot more

lol ok that clears that up i actually wanted to get the fireballs so that i could try to get a lucy i love those things. forgive me for any ignorance i may display im not too knowledgeable in the genetics area and that is why im trying to do research and learn before i even attempt to breed anything more high end than a normal ill do one or 2 dry runs with normals first tho i already have my male and my female normal and they should be ready in about a year. so i guess that means that there is no such as a het for a fireball? you know such as albino hets and the likes? or is it just you get a fire or you have a normal?

yeah, theres no *het* for fireball.. on another note its cool man you shouldn't feel any shame for asking questions, no one here was born knowing what makes what.

The Fire ball is co-dominant and is het for Black Eyed Leucists.
You will have to buy a Fire and when bred to a normal you should get 50% Fires and 50% normals.
If you breed two Fires together you have a 25% chance of hitting the jackpot and produce a Lucy.

If you just like the lucys then you could produce them another / cheaper way. There are black eyed lucys and blue eyed lucys. To the best of my knowledge, the only way to produce a black eyed lucy is to breed two fires together. But if you would like to produce a blue eyed lucy, then there are may different ways. The cheapest is to buy a male and female mojave, and breed them together. Each egg has a 1/4 chance to come out blue eyed lucy.
Hope this helps.

Re: what morphs are needed to produce a fire-ball?
As was already mentioned, fire is a co-dominant trait. What may need a little clarification is the het (heterozygous) terminology. It was said that there is no "het for fire". Thats true. BUT... a fire IS a het. It carries one of the alleles for the black eyed leucistic. So, it could be called "het for black eyed leucistic". The black eyed leucistic is the homozygous form, it carries both alleles for the fire trait.

Re: what morphs are needed to produce a fire-ball?
ok i understand all that about the no het for fire now =) thx. and as far as the blue eyed lucy those are awesome too and i was intending on trying to get a couple mojaves or would i be able to do it with one and just breed it to one of my normals? i know it would take more time cause then id have to wait for the mojave's that are produced to come to breeding age. but the holy grail for me is the black eyed lucy and it is my ultimate goal to have one and it would be very satisfying if i were to be able to breed one but i suppose that with the price of fires i would be better off getting some mojaves and producing some blue eyeds and selling them and using the return from that to get the fires =) gotta take everything in steps one at a time
