    Indoor vegetable gardens w/ pics

Just wanted to share. I bought a few baby plants from the store, but I got a warning from the condo association saying that fruit and vegetable plants aren't allowed on patios.

I used my wardrobe closet, and quickly outgrew it, so I built a 4' x 2.5' x 7' PVC greenhouse in my snake room. Everything's doing great under a 250w HPS, 400w MH and a few high output CFs. I'm mostly using soil, but I built aeroponic gardens for some of the herbs and smaller pepper plants. I plan to make a big aeroponic cloner so I have a fresh supply year around.

I'm ending up saving electricity because the 400w MH and ballast heat my snake room to 80-81 for 18 hours a day so I was able to take out the 1000w heater that I was running 24/7. All the lights add up to about 850w running either 18 or 12 hours a day. Sorry for the dark pics, but the lights really throw off the exposure.

    Vegies:
Jalapenos, pimentos, red bell peppers, yellow celebrity tomatos, roma tomatos, plum tomatos, Japanese eggplant, zucchini squash, carrots, beets, radishes.

    Herbs:
A few different basils, thyme, oregano, mint, fennel, cilantro, sage.

What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

Looks like they're doing great! Here's to lots of good veggies in the future for ya.

As for the Condo Assc...this is just another reason that I will never buy a place that has ANY type of HOA.

I know. I'm just waiting for the dissapointed looks on their faces when they kick my door down in the middle of the night for my grow operation.

Thanks, I use mostly organic liquid nutrients supplimented with a diluted 3-part hydroponics macro and micro nutrient system. It's working because three weeks ago all of these were all seeds or babies in 8 oz. cups. I hate associations, and my president is the worst. The ridiculous thing is that my patio is 4 1/2' under ground, so you can't see what I have on my patio unless you walk up to my condo and snoop.

That's really cool!!! I've been toying with the idea of planting some herbs, but I have no sunlight facing windows my cat can't reach, and a neighborhood male cat likes to snoop around my house and spray stuff at night, so outdoors is sorta off limits.

Thanks, Connie. Let me know if you want some tips. I'd go with a 24" window planter, and make a decorative wood plank holder and stand both for asthetics and to mount a couple 24" strip lights. You'd be able to put it anywhere and it would be just big enough to keep a decent selection of herbs.

Thanks! I'll have to check into that
