Ball Python Age
I was wondering if it would be possible for someone to make an educated guess as to my ball python's age. I purchased Alice on March 30. The lady that sold him to me guessed him to be about 3-4 months old at that time. He was 21 inches long and weighed 118 grams. Last night he was 28 inches long and weighed 314 grams (empty...5 days from feeding, one day post shed and poop). He has been fed consistently a large adult mouse every 6 days since I got him and this has been his third shed, each 28 days apart. It seems from most of the threads that I've read that ball pythons have a particular breeding season, with hatchlings all being produced on or about the same time.
It's not majorly important to be exact, but using her guestimate, it would seem Alice was born between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Judging by his size and growth curve, does anyone have a more experienced educated guess as to his "true" age?
Thanks...Robbin

Judging by the size i would say 5-8 months, and with breeding the climates are easily controlled inside, you can breed BP's in any months, all you have to do is lower temps and change light cycles...
